The Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation exists to help our hospital system deliver the best possible healthcare to our community.
But we couldn’t do it without you.
Our latest successful fundraising initiative: the Open Heart campaign
Thanks to your incredible outpouring of support, Gwinnett Medical Center is no longer the most populated county in the nation without an open heart surgery program.
Over the course of the campaign, we received more than 1,000 letters of support from cardiac patients, family members who cared for loved ones and concerned citizens. The business community embraced the cause and rallied its constituents. Members of the media wrote editorials promoting our efforts. And the community generously donated to help fund the program.
Today, the Strickland Heart Center, named for lead donors Clyde and Sandra Strickland, stands as a testament to your support. This 40,000-square-foot, $33 million state-of-the-art facility will ensure that the people of our community have access to a complete range of cardiac services for years to come.
The need for your support continues
While the Open Heart campaign has come to a close, Gwinnett Medical Center still needs your support. Your philanthropy makes it possible for GMC to keep up with the ever-increasing demands on its services.
With the help of your donations, we beat our fundraising goal for the Open Heart campaign by more than a million dollars! The Strickland Heart Center is now open to care for the hearts of our community.
